History With Burning Tree

Meghan joined the Burning Tree team in 2017. In the years since, she has risen to the role of Executive Clinical Director, where she leads the clinical team in delivering progress-based treatment to individuals struggling with chronic relapse. Her tenure reflects a sustained commitment to Burning Tree’s mission and a deepening investment in the organization’s approach to long-term care.

Clinical Approach

Meghan’s leadership centers on integrating objectivity with compassion — a principle she brings to the clinical team daily. For her, effective treatment of the chronic relapser requires a clear-eyed assessment of where a client stands alongside a genuine investment in where they are capable of going. This philosophy shapes the clinical culture at Burning Tree, where interventions are designed to be ethical and authentic rather than formulaic.

Her clinical foundation in trauma-informed care, addiction treatment, and family dynamics aligns directly with the complexity of the population Burning Tree serves.

Training in EMDR through EMDRIA adds an evidence-supported modality for addressing the trauma histories that so often underlie chronic relapse, while her graduate work in International Disaster Psychology brings a perspective shaped by the study of resilience and recovery in high-adversity contexts.
