Affordable Drug Rehab

Step One:

Looking for an affordable long term drug treatment? Burning Tree may be the right choice but please go through this inventory before making a decision or calling. All drug rehab programs have unique services, levels of effectiveness, and varying degrees of expertise on staff.  Finding the program that is right for you or your loved one requires self inventory and prioritizing items that range from most important to least important to you.  Before you begin cold calling rehab centers to get information, spend some time writing down the concerns and questions that you have.

Personal Inventory Sample

  1. What type of treatment program best meets your needs?  (e.g., residential inpatient or outpatient program)
  2. Does your comprehensive medical insurance cover rehab services?  How much?
  3. What is the average age of residents in a drug rehab?  My son, daughter, nephew is ___ years old and is using ________.
  4. Does the rehab base its recovery on a study and discussion of the Twelve Step Program?

Sample Questions When Talking to Drug Rehab Centers

  1. Is the rehab staffed with on-site physicians, addiction specialists, nurses, therapists, and nutritionists?
  2. How important a role does the family play in rehabilitation?  (e.g., is family therapy included in the program?)
  3. Does rehab include a follow-up or continuing care program in locations that are easy to find?

Step Two:

The cost of drug rehab is based upon the type of program (e.g., short-term or long-term), what is included in the program (e.g., private and group therapy, life skills training, nutritional counseling), and what services a health provider will cover.  You need to find out what the program consists of and how that best fits your priorities in order to shape a program you can manage financially.

The Fallacy of Short-Term Treatment

Most people know that the success rate of twenty-eight day residential treatment programs is very poor.  The problem is that most people do not have a clue as to why short-term rehab programs fail.

Short-term rehabs cannot deliver what they promise because people require time to successfully transition from addictive behavior patterns and lifestyles to walking out recovery beyond the walls of the rehab.  Inflicting information overload and therapy intensive workshops onto a patient sets people up for recidivism at a tremendous cost.  Promoting short-term rehab as cost effective is not only absurd in light of the high rate of recidivism, but patients often leave short-term rehab long before they are fully detoxed or even prepared to return home.  In fact, time and time again people in fragile and vulnerable states are prematurely plunged right back into the very environments that lead them to addiction in the first place.

Burning Tree’s Standard of Excellence

Burning Tree’s approach to long-term treatment gives people the time they need to fully detox, start living out a healthier lifestyle, and develop a closer walk with God long before they even think about returning back to their social and physical environment at home.  Our commitment to relapse prevention is not found in any short-term residential inpatient or outpatient program.

At Burning Tree, our addiction specialists utilize a dual diagnosis approach to treating chemical dependency behavior and mental disorders.  While you receive therapeutics found only in the top rehab centers in the country, you also receive around the clock supervision and care that enables us to resolve the issues that are standing in the way of your recovery.  Burning Tree knows that time is a critical factor in the life of a recovering addict.  We have created a program that evaluates patients on a case by case basis so you receive quality care you can trust and afford.
